This week, Stephan Boehringer, managing partner of TOLS Multimedia, was inducted into the downtown Orlando evening Rotary chapter. Many years ago the Orlando community welcomed us with open arms. We have had the honor of contributing to the success of many local businesses and we feel that it is time to give back to the community that has given so much to us. As such, our company has made a pledge to donate three websites to charitable organizations in the area. We are honored to be part of such a benevolent organization and would like to do our part in contributing to our wonderful community. The Outer Limit Studios would like to announce the first annual All In For A Cure Charity Co-Ed Softball Tournament to benefit The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, dedicated to advancing research, supporting patients and creating hope for the pancreatic cancer community. The 6 team tournament will be held on June 12, 2010 at 9:00 AM and will last till about 4 PM. All In for a Cure Charity
The All In for a Cure Charity Poker Tournament was started in 2007 after my father was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer in 2004. The Poker Tournament is held yearly in Orlando, FL to help advance the scientific and medical research related to the diagnosis, treatment, cure and prevention of Pancreatic Cancer.

Founded in 1999 by three visionaries as a small, non-profit, 501(c)(3) patient-based advocacy organization, the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network understands the many challenges that patients and their families face in the fight against pancreatic cancer.

What does our mission statement mean to us?
Mission statement, it's such a buzz word. Too bad it's often misunderstood and misinterpreted as a task statement. A mission statement should not describe a specific task, but rather embrace a philosophy that can be used as a benchmark to make decisions according to an overarching vision. Our TOLS Multimedia mission statement is designed to guide us in times of question and doubt. Ultimately, every company sees better times and worse times. What truly defines the core value of a company is how it behaves when times get tough.

caters to its team, for team enthusiasm
equals customer satisfaction.
I remember a specific client about four years ago, when she read that first line, she was appalled. She couldn't believe that we would openly announce that we are "in it for ourselves." Her attitude was customer service above all, even if it drives the company into the ground. Needless to say, she didn't work with us. What she didn't understand, is that ultimately we have to assure our survival to continue to provide to all of our wonderful clients as the years progress. We have to take care of the team. We have to take care of the company. Where would we be.....where would our clients be......if we gave the farm away every time we made a deal? Pretty soon, there would be no more TOLS, and then everybody loses.

In "The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People", Steven Covey speaks of "seek first to understand, then to be understood." To me, this isn't just one of the most important habits an individual can hone personally, it is also an extremely important concept in our industry. Unfortunately, time and time again, I have run across customers who had bad experiences with web developers that just don't work to understand their customer's needs.

No matter whom you ultimately choose for your web design company, its going to be a personal choice. A knowledgeable shopper is an empowered shopper, and looks at multiple companies to make an educated decision. Orlando offers several great web design companies, but ultimately you have to ask yourself which company truly understands your individual needs and fits your budget. We understand the internet can be a maze of confusion, especially if you are developing a website for the first time. Of course, everybody will want your business. Some companies will tell you exactly what you want to hear, but what you want to hear may not necessarily be your best solution. We empathize with you, and as such would like to offer this small token of our appreciation that you have even considered visiting us today.
